矩阵式管理,是相对于那种传统的按照各职能部门进行直线管理而言的,“矩阵”是借用数学上的概念。矩阵式管理主要是将管理部门分为两种,一种是传统的职能部门,另一种是由各职能部门联合组成的专门小组而为完成某项任务服务的,有一个领导专门负责,任务完成后则解散该小组,各组成员各回各自职能部门。在现阶段,我国相当多的石油工程管理都运用了矩阵式理论,通过把分散在不同区域的项目与企业总部有效的联系在一起,通过两者的协同作用,做到形散神不散,这种柔性管理方式对有效管理石油工程企业所处的复杂环境具有很大作用,提高了企业的效率,为企业进行进一步发展有巨大帮助。
