著名土壤学家华南农业大学土壤农化系谢申教授因病医治无效,于1991年8月1日在广州逝世,终年93岁.谢申教授字崧生、广东省电白县人,1924年毕业于广东农业专门学校农业化学系、任广东大学农科动理员.1927年毕业于中山大学农学院农化系.毕业后留在中山大学农学院任助教等职,1935年由学校派往美国威斯康星大学深造,1937年获硕士学位后回国,先后担任中山大学广东土壤调查所技士、技正、所长、农学院农化系副教授、教授、系主任、研究院土壤学部指导教授、学部主任等职务.建国后,于1955年至1966年任华南农学院土壤农化系主任.谢申教授数十年如一日,把炽热之心奉献给祖国的农业教育事业,受到党和人民的信任,先
