The author has been studying the supply and drainage planning for many years. The traditional supply and drainage guidelines for draining drinking water from the village and draining used filthy water into the ocean are slightly known. However, with the increase in the amount of water used by humans, supply and drainage are easily out of control. Slightly sloppy about this, the river will have the danger of silting up and drying up, which will also adversely affect the survival of the fish. In view of this, in order to preserve the natural state of the early rivers, in addition to the development of advanced water treatment technologies, the best indicators for judging the quality of water should be selected. This article not only refers to some drawbacks of the presence of organic indicators, but also explores the possibility of selecting new indicators. First, BOD and COD are not a trump. Generally speaking, many organic substances are not toxic to organisms themselves, but instead they are nutritious. However, when organic matter
