继去年4月,本刊专访全球水产养殖联盟主席、美国科拿湾种质资源公司CEO乔治·张伯伦(George Chamberlain)获悉科拿湾将展开素食虾选育工作,从亲虾选育角度努力,另辟蹊径实现在饲料中用植物蛋白替代鱼粉的构想,以减少虾料因鱼粉供应紧张的压力,选育一旦获得成功,或将推动虾料原料实现零鱼粉的重大突破。时隔一年,笔者再次专访George Chamberlain,且看一年之后,素食虾选育工作有何进展?针对当前中国对虾的养殖低潮,科拿湾又有何新动作?
In April last year, we interviewed George Fisher, president of Global Aquaculture Alliance, and CEO of Kohona Bay germplasm resources in the United States. They learned that Koen Bay will launch vegetarian shrimp breeding work, Another way to achieve the idea of using plant protein instead of fishmeal in feed is to reduce the pressure of shrimp feed due to tight supply of fishmeal. Once the breeding is successful, it will push the shrimp feedstock to achieve a major breakthrough of zero fishmeal. A year later, I once again interviewed George Chamberlain, and look at a year later, what is the progress of vegetarian shrimp breeding? In view of the current Chinese shrimp farming ebb, what is the new action?
