木通在我国本草书上早有记载,古名通草,因其有细孔两頭皆通之故。别名山通草、附支(本经)、丁翁(吴普本草)、万年籐(药性本草)、野木瓜(救荒本草)等。古时用基茎“除脾胃寒熟”,“治五淋,利小便”。有“通经利竅”的作用。直到现在木通仍为我国民间用作利尿的药物。根据最近中央卫生研究院中国医药研究所关於中药使用情况的调查报告,木通列为最常用中药类。
Mutong has long been documented in our country’s turfgrass, and the ancient name is known as grass, because it has holes in both ends.
