2003年元月8日至18日,“2003中国·西安美术学院艺术展”在巴黎国际艺术城成功举办,共展出包括中国画、油画、版画、雕塑、水粉水彩画、设计、招贴画、陶艺等种类的189件作品。展览盛况空前,取得了出人预料的上佳效果。10天之内,来自世界各国的艺术家、收藏家、观众、巴黎多所艺术院校的校长以及艺术团体、机构两千余人次前来观看了展览,很多观众认为这是近几年来在巴黎举办的艺术团体展览中最为轰动的一个。在办展过程中,西安美术学院随展人员在杨晓阳院长、郭线庐副院长的带领下,参观访问了法国、德国的多所美术院校,在建立校际交流合作方面取得了突破性进展。
