张春桥与姚文元原本不认识,但从反胡风起,二人走到了一起,经历了反右、“文革”前夕搞批《海瑞罢官》的文章、到1967年1月上海夺权,之后,二人同到中央工作。在这个长过程中,二人经常在一起搞政治密谋,姚文元也紧跟张春桥。到1976年10月6日,二人在同一晚上先后被捕。这样看来,二人的关系,也算当代人与人政治关系的一个典型了。
