拍摄电影《青春之歌》的时代,是新中国文艺欣欣向荣的时代,参加影片拍摄的所有创作人员,视艺术为神圣,都不愿因本人或本部门工作的懈怠,给影片带来丝毫的损失。从1959年3月到9月,不到半年时间,完成了《青春之歌》上下两集故事影片,可见时风之正。 《青春之歌》停机不久,北影厂通知我和厂长汪洋,导演崔嵬、陈怀皑,摄影师聂晶,制片主任胡其明等同志一起前往中南海陪同周总理审看样片。 这是1959年9月的一天,浓荫覆盖下的中南海内,凉风习习。傍晚七时左右,当我们尚未到达以前,总理已站在阶前的瑟瑟秋风中等侯我们了。这是我第一次亲眼见到周总理。他身穿浅灰色中山装,没有戴帽子。总理目光明亮,真诚有力地和我们一一握手,总理是那样的仁慈、简朴,却又是那样的敏捷、深邃、风度翩翩。在那中南海秋天的傍晚,那于秋凉中屹立在阶前的伟大公仆的身影,如同一幅庄严古朴的油画,至今
