今天,一支使用古老民族乐器的蒙古族民间乐队,活跃在内蒙古昭乌达草原。人们听到他们的演奏,仿佛听到蔡文姬浅唱低吟的《胡笳十八拍》;听到成吉思汗出征前毕力尔手高奏的乐曲;听到忽必烈时代盛大的宫廷宴乐声……赤峰市民族歌舞团研制出多种失传的蒙古族乐器,为挖掘出这些蒙古族文化遗产立下了功劳。 此前,除马头琴和四胡之外,许多蒙古族乐器逐渐失传,这同具有浓郁特色的蒙古族歌舞极不协调。 二十世纪六十年代中期,一些蒙古族的有识之士曾为挖掘失传的古乐器作过探索。但他们刚刚着手搜集资料,便被迫在一场骤至的民族灾难中停止了。
