下棋最讲究的是知己知彼,才能棋锋锐利,否则就会举棋不定,错过最佳时机。同样,优秀的CIO除了要具有一般管理者需要拥有的能力外,还要具有很多独特的能力,比如超强的沟通能力、非凡的培训能力、不断提升自我的能力等等,我们称之为CIO独有的“自知”能力。有人说,CIO在企业中既要扮演缓冲器的角色,又要起着润滑剂的作用,他们不但要“缓冲”来自企业高层的压力,又要“润滑”IT部门与业务部门的摩擦,甚至业务部门与业务部门的摩擦。企业CIO应致力于使自己成为沟通专家,这样才能根据具体的环境、沟通对象和目的,游刃有余地传递各种有效的信息。同时,企业CIO还要是一个培训家,要把新的技术和新的应用转换成生产力,需要对IT部门的员工进行培训,更重要的是要对业务部门的员工进行培训。培训工作已经成为CIO的一项“主业”。CIO培训员工的同时,还需要不断地给自己“给养”,提升自身的业务水平。因此,企业CIO可以说是“全能型”的,他们既要懂技术又要懂业务,还要善于沟通、善于培训、善于自我学习等等。

Training has become a CIO's “main business.” CIO training staff at the same time, we also need to continue to give their “support” to enhance their own business standards. Therefore, corporate CIO can be described as “all-powerful”, they not only have to understand technology and business, but also good at communication, good at training, good self-learning and so on.
