In this issue of the journal, we have translated articles on recent developments in nuclear power in some countries. Due to the economic downturn in capitalist countries, the development of nuclear energy in some countries is affected, and the United States belongs to such countries. But overall, the number of nuclear power plants newly put into operation in the world in 1981 reached 17-19 (statistics published by various countries are not exactly the same). The installed capacity of nuclear power plants increased by more than 10% in 1981 compared with 1980, and the growth rate was still high. . Judging from the current situation, nuclear power technology is mature and economically advantageous. Many countries have focused on the development of nuclear power based on their respective energy needs. Among them, France and the Soviet Union are stepping up efforts to build nuclear power plants. Some countries in the third world are also active. Build or plan to build your own nuclear power plant. Both in the past and in the present, nuclear power in the world is growing at a faster rate than economic growth. In the near future, this will still be the case.
