1品种来源及选育过程靖丰6号系贵州省毕节市山丰玉米研究所(现变更为贵州省毕节市七星关区山丰玉米研究所,民办)2007年用自选系SF87-6作母本,外引系WS527作父本组配而成的黄粒玉米单交种。母本自交系SF87-6为该所2003年用外引系78599-141作母本,与墨西哥综合种墨白一号(混粉)杂交后代作基础材料,经过4年7代连续自交选育而成,2006年稳定的黄粒玉米自交系。其详细选育经过为:

The female parent inbred line SF87-6 was used as the parent material for the progeny line 78599-141 in 2003 and the Mexican hybrid variety Mo Bai 1 (mixed powder) as the basic material.
