柑桔原生质体再生及融合,为克服柑桔杂交育种中所遇到的珠心胚干扰、杂交不亲和问题提供了有效手段,使柑桔的品种改良上有所突破。迄今已获得20个种(品种)的原生质体再生植株。叶肉原生质体植株的再生使这一技术具有更广泛的应用价值。已经获得有10个属间和5个种间的体细胞(胞质)杂种,不仅丰富了柑桔属的基因资源,同时为品种改良和遗传研究提供了十分珍贵的材料。遗传转化技术的兴起,为柑桔育种提供了新的手段,柑桔基因文库的建立以及DNA探针的制备,为进一步进行柑桔遗传研究和品种改良开辟了崭新的领域。
Regeneration and fusion of citrus protoplasts provide an effective means for overcoming the problems of pearl kernel embryo interference and hybridization incompatibility encountered in citrus crossbreeding and make a breakthrough in the improvement of citrus varieties. To date, 20 species (varieties) of protoplast regenerated plants have been obtained. Regeneration of mesophyll protoplasts makes this technique more widely available. 10 somatic and cytoplasmic somatic (cytoplasmic) hybrids have been obtained, which not only enriches genetic resources of citrus, but also provides valuable materials for variety improvement and genetic research. The rise of genetic transformation technology has provided a new method for citrus breeding, the establishment of citrus gene library and the preparation of DNA probes, opening up new fields for further citrus genetic research and variety improvement.
