周恩来于1920年10月18日亲自编订的《南开校中作文》手稿本原件,现收藏于国家博物馆。1998年2月,为纪念周恩来诞辰100周年,有关部门先后出版了手稿本的影印本和影印线装本。2013年2月,在周恩来考入天津南开学校100周年之际,有关部门又在手稿本的基础上推出了《周恩来南开中学作文笺评》。由于周恩来亲自编订的手稿本《南开校中作文》,并未全部收入作者在天津南开学校的作文,因此以手稿本为蓝本编辑出版的《周恩来南开中学作文笺评》,未能反映周恩来在南开学校学习期间所写作文的全貌和水平,令人感到遗憾。加之手稿本大多未标明文章的写作时间,其编排顺序也需要重新考订。所以,有必要在手稿本的基础上,重新整理编辑周恩来在南开学校学习期间所写的作文,特别是考订篇目和写作时间,并进行必要的注释。

In addition, most of the manuscripts did not indicate the writing time of the article, and the arrangement order also needs to be re-examined. Therefore, on the basis of the manuscript, it is necessary to rearrange and edit the essay written by Zhou Enlai during his study in Nankai School, in particular to examine the essay items and writing time, and make the necessary annotations.
