以互联网,企业内部网及增值网为基础的电子商务是以虚拟化的电子交易方式来进行与此相关的活动及交易。对于传统的交易来说,具有电子化,网络化的特点。电子商务涵括的类别有很多,主要涉及交换电子货币,电子交易市场,管理供应链,网络营销,交换电子数据,存货管理,在线处理事务以及自动收集数据系统。B to C也称B2C,即商家和顾客英文的缩写,也诠释了它的具体含义,是商家与顾客之间的电子交易。作为电子商务中的一种常见形式,商家通过线上活动直接与买家交易,相当于实物中的零售,也叫做网上零售,依托于互联网的功能,在线销售。所以B2C的电子商务形式为顾客开辟了新的购买方式,直接通过互联网,买卖交易。
