Extensive and extensive research has shown that a large number of carcinoembryonic antigens (CEA) are produced by epithelial tissues during normal embryonic development, but only in normal healthy adults. In 40-60% of patients with colon, breast, intestinal and other cancers, CEA levels can be increased to 20 times normal levels. It is still unclear what role CEA plays in rapidly developing embryonic cells, and what role this effect has with CEA’s reappearance in cancer patients. According to the consensus report of the National Institutes of Health (N1H) in the United States in 1980, serum CEA levels in patients with onset of symptoms were 5 to 10 times higher than normal maximum levels.
