陡坡耕地和桐粮间作地是我县水土流失的主要来源,且流失量大。我县商溪乡有坡度在20~30度的桐粮间作地1.2万多亩,我们在治理规划中决定采用茶叶水平带种植法治理桐粮间作地的水土流失。 为什么主张采用茶叶水平带呢?因为,茶叶是我县西北山区的传统产品,群众有经营生产习惯,加以茶树根深、喜荫,在桐林下生长良好,又能固土耐旱,比较适应坡地桐林这种生态环境,而黄花、苎麻等经济作物虽根系发达,亦能固土,但不耐旱和荫蔽,只能在山脚土层深厚,无树荫处种植,作为“穿靴”用。
