As humankind is both uneasy and happy to welcome the arrival of the year 2000, the broadcasting industry, including Japan, the United States and Europe, faces a common peach war: that is, how to digitize the broadcast. The issues to be solved are: Which data broadcasting technology to choose from, how to transition from analogue to digital, and what services can data radio provide?
