美国、日本、联邦德国、法国、英国和加拿大的财政部长和中央银行行长2月22日在巴黎举行会议,讨论稳定货币汇率、平息金融市场动荡局面、促进协调合作,以谋求解决世界贸易严重不平衡的问题。 会后发表的一项公报说,六国一致认为货币汇价继续大幅度波动将损害经济增长,同意“紧密合作以促使货币汇率稳定在目前的水平上”。公报认为,缩小贸易不平衡将是今后一项优先的任务。贸易顺差国家联邦德国和日本将采取调整产业结构、提前实施减税计划、扩大国内需求等刺激经济措施,以缩小过量的外贸盈余。同时,美国将努力削减庞大的政府预算赤字。西方通讯社认为,美国正式同意同伙伴国一起使美元汇价稳定下来,可能使两年来持续下跌的美元趋向稳定。
Finance ministers and central bank governors of the United States, Japan, the Federal Republic of Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Canada held a meeting in Paris on February 22 to discuss stabilizing the currency exchange rate, quelling financial market turmoil and promoting coordination and cooperation so as to seek a solution to the serious problem of world trade Unbalanced problem.
