长约12km多的新建双孔隧道和12座新地下车站将在最近的扩建工程中并入加拉加斯地铁,使地铁延伸总长为40km和拥有35座车站。三家包商完成了最后6座隧进施工的合同,并且都采用了洛瓦特(Lovat)型全断面软岩隧道掘进机。这种掘进机很适于有时非常困难、含水、混合地层的条件,而且获得了一些给人深刻印象的生产效率。
The newly built two-hole tunnel with a length of about 12km and 12 new underground stations will be incorporated into the Caracas metro during the recent expansion to cover a total length of 40km and 35 stations. Three contractors completed the contract for the last six tunneling operations and all adopted Lovat full-face soft-rock tunnel boring machines. This type of roadheader is ideally suited to conditions that are sometimes difficult, watery, mixed formations and have some impressive production efficiencies.
