王奔腾先生原名王树华,号休翁,是岭东一位具有哲人秉赋和诗人气质的现代山水画家。 从五十年代后期到六十年代初期,王先生的创作发生了一个明显的变化。这种变化的迹象是:创作的重点逐渐转向了山水画的领域。由于众所周知的复杂的历史原因,我们现在所看到的作品已经是寥寥无几了。《暮烟》(1959年)画的是暮色笼罩着的荒山野岭:一层薄纱般的雾气缭绕飘荡于山腰之间,景象十分混茫;然而,白烟起处,勘探队的帐篷隐约可见,这便成为我们捕捉画意的一条线索:画家向往勘探队员那种艰苦创业的火热生活,却又不得不为自己发出空封日月、功业难就之喟叹。在《秋山落霞》(1963年)中,我们看到耀眼的荭霞在山峦丛树的背后燃烧得通红:霜叶一片,如火如茶,构成了“霜叶红于染,峰峰浴落霞”的境界。画家用
