1994年5月12日,在历史的年轮中也许并不起眼。但在共和国立法史上,这是一个里程碑式的纪念日,对一切关注中国民主法制进程、崇尚公正人权理想的人们来说,这也是他们为之衷心欢呼、永远铭记的一天。 这一天,共和国最高立法机关——八届全国人大常委会第七次会议通过了《中华人国共和国国家赔偿法》。 《国家赔偿法》的出台,既是中国民主进程的重要象征,也是中国走向现代法治国家的经典标志！
May 12, 1994, may not be prominent in the annals of history. However, this is a landmark anniversary in the legislative history of the Republic and it is always a heartfelt cheer and always bearing in mind all those who care about the process of China’s democratization of the legal system and respect the ideal of fair human rights. On this day, the Supreme People’s Assembly, the supreme legislative organ of the Republic, passed the Seventh National People’s Congress Standing Committee’s Seventh National Conference of People’s Republic of China on State Compensation. The promulgation of the “State Compensation Law” is not only an important symbol of the democratic process in China, but also a classic symbol of China’s move toward a modern country ruled by law.
