When we make a field geological survey, we often use the compass to measure the direction of rock formation, and then measure the direction of tilt, or determine the direction of the trend according to the trend. However, as a pit geology work, due to poor lighting conditions inside the pit, the first pit for geological survey, and sometimes easy to move to the direction of error based on propensity to determine, or measured once again measured again tilt direction, resulting in time On the waste. According to the experience presented by the Japanese Journal of Geological Geology (No. 1, 1957), compasses can be used to determine the direction of dip directly while determining the strike of the formation. After practice, this method can not only avoid mistakes, but also improve work efficiency. Once measured, two results of strike and tilt direction can be obtained, especially for the first time in the geology work in the pit.
