1993年9月。在杭州开往南昌的列车上,一歹徒用匕首扣押6名旅客作人质。在厦门至鹰潭的列车上,4名持枪歹徒枪杀一名、击伤两名铁路警察。在西安开往广州的274次列车上,9名歹徒偷窃旅客物品时,用菜刀、匕首杀伤6名大学生。北京开往福州的45次列车,运行至沪宁线南京站时,一位旅客随身携带的52900元现金被窃。沈阳开往杭州的133次列车,行至沪宁线上的海西站,一位旅客的29000元现金被盗。……二十几天的时间,仅各地进出上海站的旅客列车财物被盗案件就发生了14起,涉及五个铁路局的10趟旅客列车,共计被盗人民币47.6万余元。显然,一批以盗窃旅客财物为目标的车匪大盗又卷土重来了。他们气焰嚣张,活动猖獗,频频盗窃,严重威胁着旅客的人身和财产安全。
September 1993. In Hangzhou on the train bound for Nanchang, a gangster with a dagger seized six passengers as hostages. On the train from Xiamen to Yingtan, four gunmen shot and killed two railway police officers. On the 274 train bound for Guangzhou in Xi’an, nine gangsters stole six college students with choppers and daggers when they stole passengers’ belongings. Beijing to Fuzhou, 45 trains run to Shanghai-Nanjing line Nanjing Station, a passenger carry 52900 yuan in cash stolen. Shenyang-Hangzhou bound for the 133 train to the Shanghai-Nanjing line on the Hercynian station, a passenger of 29,000 yuan in cash stolen. ... In just a few days, only 14 cases of theft of passenger train property entering and leaving Shanghai Station were spotted. Of the 10 passenger trains involving five railway administrations, a total of 476,000 yuan were stolen. Obviously, a group of caribbean thieves targeting theft of passengers’ belongings have come back again. They are arrogant, rampant activities, frequent burglary, a serious threat to the personal and property safety of passengers.
