The purpose of this paper is to study the various behavioral reactions before deciding to escape after occupants of a high-rise building learned of the fire information. The research method adopted is to construct the interior scene of the virtual interactive house firstly, and then obtain the behavioral data of the pre-escape phase of the participant in this scenario. The results of the research show that: 1) fewer people immediately respond to escape behavior after issuing a fire alarm signal; 2) the number of high-rise occupants is relatively small and the total time spent by early-stage senior residents is short; 3) The two factors of floor and risk acceptance have a significant impact on the total time of pre-escape behavior.
