今年是《山西师大学报》(社会科学版)创刊40周年,作为学报的第四任专职主编①,在纪念之际好像总应该说点什么。如果按照一般惯例在经验总结中一味地述说功绩似乎又有些俗不可耐,一方面所取得的一些微不足道的成绩在以往学报的封二三和简讯中多有介绍,另一方面“尽力办好学报”作为学报人的一种社会责任似乎也是理所应当。思来想去,萦绕在脑际且挥之不去的依然是一些老生常谈的问题——办学报到底是为了什么?学报到底能为人与社会的发展做些什么?经过百年的发展演变
