本文作者利用日本人在我国抗日战争时期进行的农村调查等资料对旧中国地主佃农关系作了一些探讨,现摘译供参考。作者系美国斯坦福大学胡佛研究所东亚图书馆馆长兼高级研究员,著有《中国农民经济》(1970年哈佛大学出版社出版)等书。
The author made some discussions on the relationship between the tenant and the landowner in old China by using the data of the rural areas survey conducted by the Japanese during the period of our war of resistance against Japan and is hereby translated for reference. The author is the director and senior researcher of the East Asia Library at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University in the United States and author of the book entitled “Peasant Economy in China” (Harvard University Press, 1970).
