Niukouyu reservoir area is located 1.5 km southwest of Fangshan County, is a hillside in Beijing’s Xishan Piedmont. It is apart from the famous Zhoukoudian ape cave site just across the Victoria Peak. Limestone is widely exposed in the reservoir area.
