20世纪50年代末,禅宗凭借旅行文学(travel literature)中的徘人(troubadour or Haiku poet)形象陪伴美国人踏上回归本真的漫漫征程,并随美国“垮掉派运动”的兴起逐步融入美国文化主流。本文试从《芭蕉之旅》一书的英译入手,探寻美国文化的本真吁求以及俳句文化对当代美国文化的积极影响。
In the late 1950s, Zen accompanied the Americans in the long journey of return to reality with the image of troubadour or Haiku poet in travel literature and with the rise of the “Beat Movement” in the United States Gradually into the mainstream of American culture. This article attempts to start with the English translation of the book Basho, exploring the genuine appeal of American culture and the positive influence of haiku culture on contemporary American culture.
