王闽运,字壬秋、壬父,号湘绮,湖南湘潭人。相传出生时,其父梦见神榜贴于门上曰:“天开文运。”因此以闽运为名。他是被后人誉为“霸才雄笔固无伦”的晚清大才子,少负盛名,敢为直言,颇有古之狂士品性,是清末民初的经学大师、文学家、教育家。
