在最近召开的八届政协会议上,中央档案馆馆长王明哲同志光荣当选为全国政协委员,这是王明哲同志的荣誉,也是我们档案界的一件喜事。作为一名从事档案工作四十多年,把自己大半辈子的心血都奉献给档案事业的老同志,王明哲馆长在参加政协大会之前即做了充分的准备,向全国政协汇报自己从事档案工作的体会,反映档案工作者的心声,并在会上作了精采的发言。征得本人的同意,现将王明哲同志在全国政协八届一次会议上的发言在本刊发表,以飨读者。
