Mr. Song Yonghua, an Academician of Royal Academy of Engineering has made great contributions to power industry. He has initiated a new generation of optimization and intellectual technologies to solve some of the most complicated problems in power system, and presented a series of new concepts and structures while expanding OPF models. These achievements have been fully applied in auxiliary business price assessment by categorized pricing, blocking management and assessment of available transmission capability. Recently, Mr. Song had an interview with the journalist of China Electric Power to discuss in depth the world energy patterns, China power market reform and trend of power industry development.
