青山不语,河水静流,管密止马两条大溪在此汇流,而流成著名的西溪,让这里在明清时期成为闽赣有名的水口商贸埠头。水口村,在位于光泽县城西22公里的止马镇辖区内,现有12个自然村,376户、1710人。在第二次国内革命战争时期是红色苏区。1932年12月红22军开赴水口,军部曾设在村里的天后宫内,指挥红军分水陆两路进发,发起解放光泽县城战役。
