对于当代中国的文化建设,贯彻“三个代表”要求,就是必须与时俱进,用发展着的马克思主义指导我们的文化建设;进行文化创新,以不断保持有中国特色社会主义文化的先进性;坚持为人民服务,不断满足人民群众日益增长的精神文化生活的需要。更具体地说,对于经济特区文化建设而言,就是要把握正确方向,始终保持社会主义的精神风貌;服务发展大局,为特区改革开放和现代化建设提供强有力的舆论支持和思想保证;发挥自身优势,努力建设“科技之城”、“教育之城”、“艺术之城”;服务人民群众,多为广大群众办实事、办好事。
