湖南岳阳港务公司是一个拥有一千多名职工,建港三十六年的中型水运企业.由于建港以来对档案工作没有引起足够的重视,因此,档案管理缺乏系统性和科学性.自改革开放尤其是88年以来,该司干部、职工通过认真学习《档案法》,树立了较强的档案意识,档案管理工作取得了长足的进步.目前,该司档案室存案卷已达6220卷(册),其中文书档案958卷,会计档案4970卷,科技档案245卷,声像档案7卷,实物档案40卷,另有资料250册,案卷目录18册,编研资料22册,91年底,经湖南省档案局组织检查考核,批准该司档案管理为国家二级.
