中学生作文批改的传统惯例是:一堂作文课后,学生如释负重地交来作文本,老师则挑灯夜战地批改。从审题立意、布局谋篇、主题深化、语言及标点等各个方面细致批改,并工工整整地写上评语,配以等级或评分。真是一篇又一篇、一本又一本,可谓精耕细作、不辞辛劳。而改后的本子发到学生手中,却别有洞天,令人难堪又难过:多数学生常常是只瞟一下等级或评分,即使少数优生往往也是象征性地看一下改动了几处,老师的评语把自己“表扬”得如何?而对作文的精细批改和对内容的深层次评改,他们均不顾及。
