在过去两年,在开普省西博福特附近卡路上群的博福特群沉积岩中,发现有许多分散的、各种品位的铀矿化点。到目前为止,发现的铀矿化仅产于博福特群下建造中。地表矿化的品位变化很大,从痕量到超过2%,但其平均值则低于0.05%。卡路岩石中的铀矿化在地表由于次生铀矿物的存在(主要沿节理面分布)而显示出鲜绿色和鲜黄色。由于勘探和研究工作还不够,此时预言其实际意义和远景还为时太早,故目前对卡路上群新发现的铀矿床资源还不打算进行评价。了解卡路矿床的成因对于继续在该区进行勘探工作是很重要的。
In the past two years, there have been many scattered, various grades of uranium mineralization sites found in the Beaufort cluster sediments of the Caliph Group near West Beaufort, Cape Province. Until now, the discovery of uranium mineralization was only made under the Beaufort formation. The grade of surface mineralization varies widely from trace to more than 2%, but its average value is less than 0.05%. Uranium mineralization in Caloocan shows bright green and bright yellow color on the surface due to the presence of secondary uranium minerals (mainly along the joint plane). Due to insufficient exploration and research work, and at this time, it is still too early to predict its actual significance and long-term prospects. At present, there is no plan to evaluate newly discovered uranium resources in the group. Understanding the causes of the Ka Lu deposit is important for continuing exploration in the area.
