工业经济时代,亨利·福特曾问:“我只要求一双手,可为什么总有一个脑袋跟过来?”今天,我们生活在“创造性”经济中,最重要的知识产权不是软件,也不是音乐或电影,而是在员工头脑中的东西。当资产是像煤矿一样有形的东西时,股东能真正拥有它们。但如果最重要的资产是人,那就没有真正的所有权可言。公司能够做的最明智的事情就是创造一种能留得住优秀人才的环境,正如戴尔公司总裁迈克尔·戴尔所说:“新面孔、新名字和新的声音不断涌入我们有经验的上、中、下层管理人员中,这迫使我们维护一种每个人都能理解和支持的简单、合乎逻辑的企业文化”。为寻找合适和有激励作用的员工机制,现代企业各出奇招,努力描绘出属于自己企业的人文“色彩”。
In the industrial economy, Henry Ford once asked: “I only ask for one-handedness and why there is always a head to follow.” Today, we live in a “creative” economy where the most important intellectual property is not software, nor is it music or Movie, but something in the minds of employees. When assets are tangible things like coal mines, shareholders can really own them. But if the most important asset is people, then there is no real ownership at all. The smartest thing the company can do is create an environment that will retain the best talent, as Michael Dell, president of Dell, puts it: “New faces, new names, and new voices pour into our experienced hands, This has forced us to maintain a simple, logical corporate culture that everyone understands and supports among middle- and lower-level managers. ” In an effort to find a suitable and motivated staff mechanism, modern enterprises are all trying their best to portray the humane “color” of their own enterprises.
