1892年11月25日于巴黎索邦大学现代世界的体育活集中在三个首都:柏林、新德哥尔摩和伦敦。从那里分别产生出三个体系,都是以古代社会的普及观念为基础,影响远至其他地区。这些古代观念在中世纪和文艺复兴时期被人们自觉不自觉地继承下来,可以用三个词来概括:战争、卫生和体育。下面,请允许我简述其特点,介绍它们在现代的发展过程,并在最后描述一下法国参与这个重要运动的状况。对于这个运动,人们恰当地称之为:体育的复兴。
November 25, 1892 in Sorbonne, Paris The modern world of sports is concentrated in three capitals: Berlin, New Stockholm and London. From there, three systems are produced respectively, all based on the concept of popularization of ancient societies and far reaching the rest of the world. These ancient ideas were inherited consciously and unconsciously during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and can be summed up in three words: war, health and physical education. Next, let me briefly state its characteristics, introduce them in the modern development process, and finally describe the situation of France in this important sport. For this movement, people aptly call it: the rejuvenation of sports.
