High-density sulfur and metal compounds (such as gold and copper, etc.) can be attached to the bottom of the rising steam bubble, and ride up to the top of the magma chamber. By heating materials commonly found in magmas, the researchers found that high density sulfur and metal mixture particles attach to the bottom of rising vapor bubbles. This mechanism can be used to explain why there is a lot of sulfur and metal in the process of volcanic eruption
