In mid-May 1942, more than 250,000 Japanese First Corps troops stationed in Shanxi under the command of the commander of the commander of the Japanese army, Masato Shinobuka Yoshinobu, once again launched a “general attack” on the base of the Taihang Mountains. The offensive focuses on the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army and the Northern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in the northern part of the Taihang Mountains. Before the big Japanese troops were dispatched, the enemy dispatched two supporters (spy fighters) to run the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army and the 129th Division Division. One of the most important tasks for the team in Sichuan to stand upright is to “take the leader of General Liu Weicheng, who is one-eyed.” To this end, the Japanese even printed Liu Bocheng resume and photos.
