湘早糯一号是湖南省原子能农业应用研究所采用辐射与杂交相结合的办法,用~(60)Co—r射线3万伦照射IR_(29)×温选青F_2干种子经3年4代选育而成的一个高产、优质、抗性好的迟熟早糯新品种。1982年参加全省多点鉴定,11个点平均亩产497.5公斤,居供试品种的第一名,比对照湘矮早9号增产11.24%;1983年参加省区试,平均亩产410.65公斤,比对照绍糯2号增产15.6%。居糯稻组第一名;
