In his initial report on two scientific expeditions in Nepal, Giuseppe Tocci covered extensively the issue of elephant (1), on which he made full use of Tibetan, Sanskrit and Chinese sources. This essay is a review of Professor Duczi’s resolution of the elephant hero, aiming to propose different hypotheses on the subject. In my research, I carefully studied the relevant information, studied the materials that I can not directly obtain and which I cited in Professor Duch’s report, and also briefly mentioned the reference to the Sanskrit text in footnotes. In addition, the article quotes some passages of his book “Ancient Tibetan History” by Hisa Shi Sato (2), and apologies for P Pelliot’s legacy of ancient Tibetans. Recently, Published in Paris (3), and I have not yet received it. I will not discuss elephant religion and language in this article, because of the lack of sufficient material here is limited to discussing the geographical location of elephant (4). Therefore, readers are asked to study the informative Duchy report that disagrees with this article. After understanding the information used in this article, it is easier to understand the discussion.
