垂直发射导弹排气控制系统的主要功能是在导弹的正常发射和限制发射操作期间保障安全和清除火箭发动机的排气。由于预示手段不够完全适应,在奥斯汀的得克萨斯大学火箭排气效应台进行了实验性的地面试验。试验使用了一个≈1/6缩尺排气控制系统模型与一个同类的助推发动机模型(带与不带燃气舵控制装置)。本文提供的是确凿有效的实验研究结果,以及它们与全尺寸试验结果和理论上预示的相互关系。
The main function of a vertical launch missile exhaust control system is to provide safety and clearance of the rocket engine exhaust during normal launch and limited launch operations of the missile. An experimental ground test was conducted at the University of Texas rocket exhaust effect station in Austin due to a lack of complete predictability. The test used a ≈ 1/6 scale exhaust control system model with a similar boost engine model (with and without a gas rudder control). This article provides conclusively validated experimental results, as well as their correlation with full-size test results and theoretical predictions.
