湖北省公安县楊厂区国胜民办小学,于一九五五年創办。学生有十五人,教师徐家庚,六十岁,教齡三十年。这个学校的学生,每年讀书十个月,完全采取“点背”的办法。一年級:識字教材有《跃进三字經》《农民三字經》《小学語文》一二册,写字教材(先认后写)有阿拉伯数字、汉字大写数字、識字数量按年齡大小有不同要求:五六岁小孩可識一百多字,七岁小孩可識二百字,八九岁孩子可識五百字,十岁十一岁孩子可識一千多字。二年级:識字教材有《語文》三、四册,写字教材有《百家姓》《四言杂字》二十四节气
