近年来,山西省朔州军分区党委着眼提高应对多种安全威胁和完成多样化军事任务能力,以做好军事斗争准备为使命,以“双应一体化”建设为目标,以上级组织的军事演练为契机,以完成急难险重任务为平台,扎实抓好战备基础设施建设,加强信息化建设水平,全力打造具有快速动员和遂行任务能力的预备役部队和民兵队伍,不仅在参加军区和省军区的各种演练中表现出色,而且在参加地方矿难救援、森林防火、保交护路等重要任务中,也起到了重要作用,得到地方党委和政府的高度赞扬。为此,这个军分区先后被北京军区表彰为民兵军事训练工作先进单位、全区信息化建设先进师旅级单位,并多次受到省军区的表彰奖励。
