We fabricate a three-layer metamaterial of metal pattes/dielectric/metal films.The optical properties associated with Fano resonance of the metamaterials are investigated experimentally and theoretically.The results indicate that the introduction of Fano resonance due to symmetry breaking leads to a much wider absorption range,Furthermore,the amplitude and phase of reflection can be modulated effectively by adjusting various free parameters using the proposed structure.
