The task force you lead is to attack along Axis Mustang and occupy the OBJ Patton area, destroying the enemy 152rd round of rocket launchers to gain depth of defense and prevent the enemy from attacking the northern wing of 2nd Battalion. Your company has been steadily attacking and has entered the launch site supporting the fire. You observe that the enemy is in the exact position of your intelligence officer and order your “Bradley” infantry chariot to launch a “Tao” missile at an enemy T-80 tank at a distance of 2.5km. Missiles hit the target and produce flares and smoke, but to your surprise, they did not work. The enemy BMIII-3 infantry fighting vehicles and T-80 tanks quickly spotted your position and counterattacked with their AT-10 and AT-11 laser-guided missiles. Your “Bradley” infantry fighting vehicle and some tanks were hit and your unit lost astonishingly. How is this possible? Why “Tao” missiles will fail?
