Retinoic acid (RA) receptor is a group of ligand-dependent nuclear transcription regulators, widely distributed in various types of tissue cells, the different subtypes can form homodimers or heterodimers, involved in embryonic development , Cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and other pathophysiological processes. In different cells or tissues, RA receptor expression and disease are not the same. Recent studies suggest that RA receptors are closely related to the occurrence and development of kidney disease. The article reviews the role of RA receptors and their signaling pathways in the development of renal disease.
