继本刊上期《争鸣园地》发表若干篇文章对电视剧《橘子红了》进行讨论后,编辑部又陆续收到一些评论《橘》剧或对此现象进行分析的稿件,同时,也有不少读者给我们打来电话,纷纷发表各自对此一讨论的意见。这说明,此一讨论已在读者中引起不小的反响。 我们始终认为,对“当红”电视剧进行比较深入的研讨,无论对观众的欣赏抑或对今后的电视剧创作都是有益的。所谓“当红”电视剧,一般来讲,泛指在社会上被炒得滚热的、在观众中影响较大或评说较多的电视剧作品。事实表明,一部电视剧能够赢得“当红”的头衔和效果,往往未必能与它自身的思想、艺术水准的高低划上等号。换言之,炒得越热的电视剧,并不等于就是越具有“含金量”的作品,有时恐怕还会出现恰恰相反的情况。这在市场经济的氛围下是不乏其例的。 不可否认,“当红”电视剧之所以能“当红”,剔除炒作的因素外,常常还有其它的诸多因素,譬如演员阵容强大造成的“明星效应”,在艺术上有个性追求、具有较高的观赏性,题材和表现手法比较新颖等等。实际上,许多属于思想精深、艺术精湛、制作精良的电视剧佳作,无需进行刻意、浮夸的炒作,同样也是“当红”的。这样的实例举不胜举。令人担忧的倒是另一种情况:某部电视剧因被炒作、被某些人故作深奥地恣肆吹捧或其它?

In fact, many well-thought-out, artistic and well-made drama masterpieces, without deliberate, exaggerated hype, is also “popular.” Such examples are endless. Worrying is another situation: a drama because of hype, by some people pretending to be unscrupulously touted or other?
